We're all about the homebrew here at R43DS.org  We've been convering homebrew gaming for the Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSI and of course the Nintendo 3DS for years and years.  With all of the amazing emulators available for the Nintendo 3DS thanks to the R4 3DS cards, we thought it would only be appropriate for us to cover some of the amazing homebrew and indie games that you can play using any number of the emulators available for your R4 and Nintendo 3DS system.

This amazing work in progress can be played on your Nintnedo 3DS using the popular FrodoDS Emulator with the R4 3DS cards.  You can find it in our 3DS Homebrew section

After watching the animations and reading up on the game from the developers website, Sam's Journey is drawing some of it's inspiration from the numerous 8-bit console based platform games of yesterday, but adding to it the multi color and high res graphics that were unique to the Commodore 64 system.  The Commodore 64 had countless amazing platform games in the style of Super Mario Bros and Sonic The Hedgehog style gameplay, only a few select games like Mayhem in Monsterland, Magical Formula and It's Magic I and II that really brought true console style platformers to the old C64 computer.

We'll keep you posted with updates and information on this amazing new game and when it will be released.  In the meantime, keep checking back for other cool homebrew and indie games for various other systems.
