R4 3DS .org

The newest version 11.16.0 update was released for your 3DS and with it we have tested all of the R4 cards to ensure that they continue to work.  The update release notes state that it is to improve stability.  This isn't very different from the last several firmware updates.  This new variation once again promises stability updates and also small bug repairs.

We note that even though the eShop will be offline for the 3DS, this new firmware update is just meant to offer some security fixes and stability updates. Sadly they usually do not include any brand-new or interesting functions.

As always, you can download the new updated firmware from our R4 3DS Firmware page for your card, should you need new firmware or have updated from an older 3DS system software version and need the official firmware files.

The red box R4 3DS is confirmed working with no firmware updates required.  Truly one of the very first R4 cards that was compatible with the 3DS when the 3DS was first released.  Prior to this card there were not 3DS compatible R4 cards available.  It continues to be one of the most popular cards and one of the most compatible cards due to the quality firmware.  We're happy to report that it fully supports and works with the latest 11.16 update.

The Newest R4i Gold 3DS Pro 2019 - 2020 - 2021 Also Work without any need for a firmware update on the latest 11.16.0 3DS Systems.  This is a very popular card and customers have been thrilled that it continued to work with firmware updates and has been fully supported through the last 3+ years regardless of system software updates on your console.

The R4 3DS DUAL CORE is our customer favorite, and for good reason.  The dual processing power of the authentic dual-core card makes it a fantastic option for using some of the most powerful emulators.  And we are happy to report that it also continues to work on the 11.16.0 updated 3DS and 2DS systems.  

Another one of our customers favorite cards is the R4 3DS RTS card.  ALL of the current versions of this card support the latest updates.  From 2019, 2020 and even the 2021 are all fully compatible.  It has many of the same features and functions as the R4 3DS Dual Core cards and uses the same basis for the firmware files.  As a result, it also works flawlessly on the new 3DS version 11.16.0 update.
