Fuzed Nintendo 3DS Homebrew Game For The R4 3DS Released

The world of homebrew / freeware gaming is always evolving and changing.  And usually for the better.  We can't stress enough just how thankful we as a company are to the countless homebrew developers that spend their free time making some offuzed 3ds homebrew the most amazing freeware software for the Nintendo 3DS, DS and DSi consoles.

Each year there are various coding competitions that offer up some truly unique games and apps, both for retro game systems and the Nintendo 3DS console.  This year was no exception and several new releases have been released to the public.
Today we're going to talk about a game that we haven't been able to put down since we started playing it.  It's a freeware platform puzzle game called Fuzed, and it shows just what a developer can do when they take their time and have a knack for game design.

Fuzed is a puzzle platformer.  It brings platform game type action and mixes it with puzzle elements for great replay value.  The idea for the look and feel of Fuzed came from the New Super Mario Bros.  By this we mean that New Super Mario Bros had 3D game characters exploring on a 2D background.  Fuzed on the other hand has 2D characters placed on a 3D background for some really good fun.

The gameplay is simple in theory, but the game is actually quite a challenge.  Your goal is to rescue all of the Pink Snipes and get your self to the exit on each level.  You have some cool blue bombs and can also weild some magical powers as a bad-ass creature.

While you do have your magic available, you can only use your magic spells once you collect the spells themselves.  You'll also have to use the different types of blocks in the game to get through and beat each level.

The game makes us think of a combination between Mario Bros and Bomberman.  You can crush the baddies by knocking the blocks on them, and place bombs to clear some of the other blocks.  You also have Mario Bros. type gameplay because you have to jump and duck and get away from the bad guys by utilizing the many blocks available.

Describing the game in full would take countless sentences and may even come across as a little bit confusing.  We assure you though, once you try this game, you'll fall in love with it just like everyone else has.  The video below shows some demo gameplay to give you a better idea of just how the game works.  We've tested the game on every single model of our R4 3DS Cards, and we're happy to let everyone know that the game loads, runs and plays perfectly on all of our cards.  If there's one homebrew game this year that everyone should get, we'd say Fuzed is right at the top of our list.
