Updated on March 23, 2023: All of our cards work perfectly on the latest v11.16.0 E/U/J System update for the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3D XL, new 3DS and Nintendo 2DS systems, as well as all DS, DSi and Nintendo DSi XL 1.45 systems.

These days, almost anyone can sell you a product online. They can even offer products under brand names that you've come to know and have searched for on your quest to buy the perfect R4 for your Nintendo DS, DSi or 3DS system. Unfortunately, there are plenty of R4 cards that simply are NOT real R4 Cards. Slightly lower prices lure people into getting these cards (The difference is often only about $2-$4 less than our official cards) but what you're not told when you make your purchase is that you may - or MAY NOT receive any updates when your console gets upgraded.

And it's not even the stores that can be blamed. The factories make the cards and market them as upgradeable, and promise a whole slew of support for their R4 3DS card or R4i Cards, but when the time comes, and the DSi or Nintendo 3DS or 2DS gets a system update, more often then not, these factories take their websites offline, and are nowhere to be found - nor is there any updated firmware or kernel that you can use to enable you to have continued compatibility with your console.
