We've just covered the latest update to the classic Stella DS Atari 2600 emulator on our 3DS homebrew page.  It's one of our favorite emulators ever.  Not because it works the best, or has games with the most amazing graphics, but because the Atari 2600 holds a very special place in the hearts of almost all of us at the office.  We grew up on old school 8-bit games, and the Atari 2600 was the undisputed king of all gaming systems when it was first released.  It took a video game crash, and the Nintendo Entertainment system, in order to bring it down from its glory days.  It truly was the first game system that brought all of the arcade games right in to your living room.  While they were conversions - or ports as they're now called, they were good enough to keep you from having to visit the arcades.  Games like PacMan, Mario Bros., Defender, Moon Patrol, and hundreds of others that were ported and released for the Atari 2600.  

And now, thanks to Stella DS, and R4 3DS, and your Nintendo 3DS, 3DS XL or DS, DS Lite or DSi system, you can now take all of your classic Atari 2600 games on the road with you. Play them whenever, wherever.  Check out our Stella DS installation and setup guide.
