Amazing what you can accomplish when you have a site that lets you send 160 characters of information to everyone that follows you.
Almost every single mobile platform has some sort of twitter integration. You can tweet on your smart phones, even on the not so smart phones too. Most home game systems also let you at least check out what you're friend are up to by connecting to twitter. But not the Nintendo DS or Nintendo 3DS. There's no out of the box way to get logged on to Twitter to tweet your heart away. But thankfully there are apps that will let you do just that. With the R4 3DS card for the Nintendo 3DS, and DSTwitter, you can get your tweets on in style, without having to sit in front of your PC or pull out your phone. DSTwitter is a twitter app - or twitter client that will keep you up to date and allow you to update your friends too.
It has a full keyboard that you can tap away on using your stylus so that you can update all of your buddies and let them know the great game you're planning on playing. Or if you're addicted to twitter and can't live without getting the scoop, you can set your 3DS down on the coffee table while you putter away, and see those updates in real time. With the Wifi connectivity built into the Nintendo 3DS system, you'll always be connected.
The application works across the board on all of the Nintendo hand held systems. For the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite you'll want to use the original R4 DS. For the Nintendo DSi and the Nintendo DSi Xl, the R4i SDHC Card will bring Twitter to your consoles. If you have the new Nintendo 3DS system, then our R4 3DS will be the card that will allow you to load and run this amazing free application.
Next week we'll talk about how you can connect with your friends on Facebook right on your favorite hand held game system. Facebook on the DSi and the 3DS is another great freeware application that connects you and those people around you, from your hand held.
See the video below for a look at just how well DS Twitter works, and how professional the interface looks. You would expect to have to pay some serious money for this app - but you won't have to, because it is free!
