R4 3DS .org

The Wood R4 Team are at it again.  With just a month since their last release of the V1.37 wood firmware, today marks the day that they have released yet another update.  This time it is Wood R4 1.38 kernel.  As always, the team behind this custom 3rd party ds flash card firmware has shown that they are very capable of bringing out the fastest releases when it comes to R4 DS updates.  Fixing some of the compatibility issues that have been founds since the last version is always top of their list.  Not that their previous version of this kernel was the problem, it wasn't.  It's just that as new games and applications come out for the Nintendo DS, DSi and Nintendo 3DS, sometimes they simply won't load up with older firmware.  Naturally, these games and applications could not be made compatible with the R4 3DS or other R4i Card units until they were released.  

This is exactly why we always urge all of our customers to always update to the latest versions of any firmware for their cards.  Even if you don't plan on updating or don't see any reason to, having the newest update ensures your card will always work with the newest and latest games without a hitch.

After all, what's the point in having this level of kernel support - even from third parties, if you don't make use of it.  Why wait until you find games not working, when you could simply update and be ready to play without any interruptions or issues at all.
