R4 3DS Now Gets MoonShell 2.10

We are big supporters of Moonshell here at R43DS.org.  It's become one of the MUST HAVE ds homebrew applications for the Nintendo DS, DSi and the new Nintendo 3DS systems.  Moonshell is the tough to beat multimedia player, created entirely as a freeware project by talented developers that have ported it and made it compatible with every single brand of DS cards out there today.  In fact, there are a number of features that we tout about the R4 3DS which are made possible with the help of this freeware application.  Moonshell allows you to watch movies on your DS, DSi and 3DS, as well as listen to MP3 music, show off digital photos and even read TXT files and have file manager options, all built in to the R4 3DS thanks to this freeware application.

One of the biggest additions to Moonshell 2.10 is the ability for the DSi to take screen captures.  Again, this feature should have been built in from the start, but it was not, and it took the hard work of Moonlight (the developer of Moonshell) in order to implement this feature across all DS, DSi and 3DS systems.  The other notable feature is direct DPG recording.  DPG is the video format used on the DS, DSi and 3DS systems, and Moonshell 2.10 now makes it possible for you to use your camera, and record what you're seeing.  Quite an achievment again.  Even the Sony PSP can not flaunt this feature, as it lacks any built in video camera.

The new version works on the R4 3DS, R4i SDHC and the original R4 DS Card.  Thanks again and hats off to the developers for all of the hard work they have put in to releasing a commercial quality, top of the line multimedia player for the DS line of hand held video game consoles.  Don't forget, you can also skin and theme moonshell to customize it to the look and feel you would like.
