We've also had some questions about the Real Time Save feature.  One of the most common questions we have is, well, just what the heck does real time save mean, and how does it enhance my games.  Here's a quick and brief explanation about the Real Time Save means for you when you're playing your games.

We know that all games have the option of saving your progress, right?  Many games do an autosave at certain points in the game, while other games will bring up a save in select areas and you'll manually have to hit buttons and select to save your game so that you can resume it later.  With real time save, you're no longer limited to saving your game only when the game says you can.  In fact, you can save your game at any point, any time, anywhere in the game.  Yes, really anywhere.  You could be in the middle of killing that end of level boss on level 3 with just 1 life left.  Even if the game normally didn't have a way for you to save your game, with the R4 3DS SDHC you'll be able to press the buttons, and an image of your current game will be saved.  Should you die, and not beat the big boss, you can instantly revert back to that real time save point, and keep trying and trying until you win.

It's like having an instant save game switch, where you can save your game to your hearts content.  Sometimes we have to stop playing our favorite game for one reason or another.  With the RTS (real time save) feature, you can instantly save, close your 3DS, only to continue from the exact same place again later.  Not a check point or pre-determined part of the game, but exactly where you left off.

The other new standout feature of course is the enhanced and updated GUI - or graphical user interface.  More options have been added to the menu system once you're selecting your games.  Emulators work perfectly for those of you that like to have some retro gaming fun, and the general look and feel of the menu is completely re-designed to make it easier, and quicker to use.  And of course you can see this all for yourself when you purchase this newest member of our R4 3DS family for yourself, and take your Nintendo DS, DSi and 3DS gaming to a whole new level.
